We are proud to officially announce the formation of Drunken Tentacle Productions, a new independent film company based in Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and headed by Mike Antonio, Matt Blazi, Jeff Heimbuch, Brian Keene, and Mike Lombardo.

 

Mike Antonio is a graduate of The Sheffield Institute For The Recording Arts. His production and co-writing credits include the short films They?ll Never Get Me, Ninja Slice, and Elkton's Undead.

 

Matt Blazi has been involved in several films, including Land of the Dead, Deadlands, and George Romero?s most recent zombie movie (currently in production).

 

Jeff Heimbuch is the founder of Bamfer Productions. He has received numerous awards from film festivals all over the country, most recently including "Best Horror Film" and "Audience Choice Award" at the Garden State Film Festival for the feature film Leeds Point. He is also the writer and director of Brian Keene?s The Ties That Bind (forthcoming).

 

Brian Keene is a two-time Bram Stoker Award winning horror novelist. He also writes for Marvel Comics. The author of over twenty books, Keene?s work has been praised by CNN, The New York Times, Publisher?s Weekly, The Howard Stern Show, Fangoria, and Rue Morgue Magazine.

 

Mike Lombardo is the founder of Reel Splatter Productions and specializes in splatter comedy. Of his fifteen short films, he is perhaps best known for Demonstration of the Dead. He also occasionally serves as a voice actor for cartoons.

 

Drunken Tentacle Productions? main focus will be feature-length horror films for DVD, Blu-Ray, and digital download formats. Their first project will be an anthology film based on selections from Brian Keene?s short-story collections Fear of Gravity and Unhappy Endings. The film is expected to be released in 2010.
